The Hall of Fame for the NFL inducts a variety of individuals even though it's a team game. The debate over criteria to get in is relatively speaking to what was considered great during a particular era and all sorts of other stats and "woo" factors.

Therefore, when a player like Calvin Johnson...#81... a.k.a. "MEGATRON" or Barry Sanders goes in without a championship or limited playoffs appearances. One thing you can't help but recognize is the uniqueness of the talent that was playing.

The MEFL has that kind of flavor but...It is more in numbers and consistancy that we can't help but recognize that in going into a 19th...get that...NINETEENTH Season... The balance of the league comes through in reviewing the history.

Fun facts:

In 18 seasons, only 5 team managers have won two championships. Which means 13 different teams have come up clutch when it counted.

There is one team from the very 1st season that has 5 Championship appearances.

There is 1 team manager that has won 2 Championships with 2 different named franchises.

This is an amazing statistic in itself...Only 1 team has status of 3 straight Championship Appearances and that same team also holds the ONLY "B2B" title!

However, there are many more playoff performers and regular season milestones yet to be noted... The point?

Instead of there being a Hall Of Fame... In fantasy, there should be a "Hall Of (insert name here)" Where every team or team manager that goes in can have a description of why a body of work, whether it is over many seasons or unique in some other way...or maybe it was a particular player that was associated with the team are Chronicled for contributing to that body of work.

Yes, some of these things are just noticeable highlights that make the MEFL great! Maybe, there can be 3 nominees every few # of years and can start with the 20th year. One nominee goes in other 2 nominees get put on standy and get 2 more chances to get in.

In conclusion, Megatron was a BEAST in setting the bar for WR's during his playing days without championships. There are teams that set a standard for the MEFL. That standard can be chronicled since "anything can happen" in the MEFL! Hall Of (?) Year 20!
