The MEFL is proud to present the release of our own cryptocurrency, MEFLCOIN! Opening at a value of $25, MEFLCOIN is directly linked to the weekly seasonal scoring. Each week if the majority of the matchups are decided by a margin of 20 points or greater, MEFLCOIN will increase by 20%, if this criteria is not met, it will decrease by 10%.
All team owners have been gifted $5 to begin investing.
Each week you have 3 simple options:
HODL MEFLCOIN with all your funds and receive a 20% bonus of your total funds if MEFLCOIN goes up, or lose 10% if it goes down.
Go LONG by investing in a single team to win by a margin of 20 points. If the team wins by this margin, you receive a flat $20 bonus. If it does not, you lose $10.
Go SHORT on a single team for them to lose the game by any margin. If the team loses, you receive a flat $5 bonus. If the team wins the game, you get nothing, nor do you lose anything.
What you get at the end:
As usual, MEFLTRADE will be active for 10 weeks of trading. Afterwards, each team owner will receive their accrued funds as a bonus addition to their Free Agent Budget.
And the WINNER of MEFLTRADE will receive the additional bonus of the final value of MEFLCOIN on top of their personal investment bonus.
How to submit your weekly investments:
Each week, prior to the Sunday morning games, place a comment in the MEFLTRADE weekly post with your selection. If you do nothing, the default setting will be to HODL MEFLCOIN.
If your funds reach $0 or less.
If your investments go south and you eliminate all your funds, you cannot HODL MEFLCOIN until you have positive funds. In this situation we recommend you Go SHORT to gain more funds at no risk. You are allowed to Go LONG, however you risk the going further into the hole. At the end of the MEFTRADE Season if you have negative funds, you will have to pay it off with your existing FA budget.
