Commissioner Declares Co-Champions!
After the unprecedented events of the Bills-Bengals Week 17 cancellation, the MEFL Commissioner has declared both Gridiron Grievous AND Fisto’s Fury to be MEFL Co-Champions, a first in MEFL history!
The Commissioner awarded GG’s team with an additional 3.32 points, to makeup for linebacker L. Wilson, who’s points were eliminated after the NFL officially cancelled the game, thus bringing the MEFL Super Bowl matchup to be a natural tie, 197.38 - 197.38.
The sheer magnitude of the scoring was a factor in the decision. Both teams were projected to score around 140 points, but on Super Bowl Sunday, came to the party ready to play and scored nearly 200 points! “Such incredible efforts from both teams, just had to be rewarded,” stated the Commissioner.
Congratulations to our first ever, Co-Champions, GG and Fisto!
When asked how will both teams share access to our beloved MEFL Trophy, the Commissioner implied that a plan has been set in motion to be announced on Sunday, however he concluded his comments with, “I have a baaaad feeling about this…” Is he referring to the Curse of the Wookiees?
